"I wholeheartedly echo what previous reviewers have mentioned. We found the school while looking for a full-day childcare option for two. While we ran into waitlists at countless area schools, SSCH was able to fit us in for right when we wanted to start. Please do not overlook this school as a preschool that may not be able to provide the full coverage you need, because it can! The school has before care and after care options that mean students can attend 5 days a week from 8am-4pm. And the director is incredible! She seems to know the names (and classes, siblings, schedules) of every student who attends. You'll find her responding to Brightwheel messages, assisting in the pick-up line, filling in to teach classes, and personally checking in with kids having a tough day. She not only listens to comments from parents but takes those to the Board to make meaningful changes to the school schedule, etc. based on thoughtful consideration and feedback. In SSCH, you'll find a preschool that uses the Frog Street curriculum but also maintains small class sizes, teaches the students Greek, music, STEM, etc. and offers flexibility in part-time/full-time scheduling and before/after care options. You will not find a childcare option in the greater Annapolis/Davidsonville/Riva/Edgewater area with the same offerings and availability at such a reasonable price. Trust me, I've tried. "

"This is an absolute gem of a preschool. We are so happy to have found it. We have been parents of SSCH preschool for three and a half years now, with two kids going through the program. Backed by the Church, there is so much attention, love, and care put into this school. Every single teacher is phenomenal and every staff member they hire is just wonderful with the kids. On top of their regular curriculum, which is top notch, the students take Greek, Religion and two different Music classes. They have special events, like a pumpkin patch visit, a Mother's Day tea, donuts with dad at the pirate ship, a visit from the fire truck and dentist, and both a Christmas and Spring concert. The Pre-K graduation is quite the event, too. My daughter brings home unique art projects and has been so happy to have made such good friends whom have moved through the program with her. My mom friends made are wonderful, too. Word has gotten out about this school, so it is no longer small, but the class sizes remain small. Pricing is very reasonable, and scheduling is flexible with full day, half day, and before and after care options. The facility is secure, clean, and relatively new, with a federal grant to make sure the utmost protections are in place for our little ones. Don't overlook this school in your search. It is truly amazing. We will cherish our years at SSCH forever."

"This review is long overdue for one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our kids.

Both of our children started at this preschool when they were two years old, and it has now been almost three years. We noticed immediate, meaningful changes. They became more outgoing, confident, and social, and they truly love their teachers, aides, and the director. We do too.

If you are looking for more than just a preschool, this is the place. It genuinely feels like a village of support. The care for the children is so clear, both in the way the staff shares sweet moments from the day with us and in how excited our kids are to talk about their teachers and school at home.

Communication has been excellent. Photos and videos are shared throughout the day, which gives us so much peace of mind. Anytime I have needed to make a change or ask a question, updates are communicated quickly and responses are always prompt.

I was initially drawn to the school after reading the staff bios because they have such an impressive team. Once we toured and experienced the warm environment and saw how engaged the director and staff were with the students, we knew this was the right place for our family.

The security measures in place are also extremely impressive and made us feel even more confident in our choice. This school truly checks boxes you do not even realize you need.

Our children have learned so much and benefit from exposure to music, STEM, religion, and even the Greek language. They also do an amazing job of creating memories and building confidence through events that include parents and extended family. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community and would highly recommend this school! If you are considering this school, take a tour and you will feel the same warmth and care that made us fall in love with it."
